Three Handle Bite Wedge — Linen
The wedge for the helper who runs club training. Three reinforced handles instead of two means more grip options, more presentation angles, and the ability to rotate helpers mid-drill without breaking the dog's bite. Heavy-duty linen body for honest grip development that punishes a soft bite.
What it is
A bite development wedge in heavy linen with three reinforced grip handles spaced strategically around the body. The linen surface is intentionally challenging to bite cleanly. Dogs that grip soft drop it. Dogs that grip hard get rewarded. Three handles let the helper switch presentation angle, hand off to a second helper without the dog releasing, or rotate the wedge during tug to fight prediction.
Who it is for
Bite sport handlers in IGP, Schutzhund, ringsport, PSA, Mondioring and French ring. Club training helpers running multi-dog rotations. Decoys teaching young dogs proper bite mechanics. Working line Malinois, GSD, Doberman, Rottweiler and Cane Corso handlers building grip and confidence. Breeders evaluating young bite prospects.
Why three handles
Two-handle wedges (like our Heavy-Duty Canvas and Suede) cover most one and two-person scenarios. Three handles open up the third option: two helpers running drills together. Pass-off drills, alternate presentation angles, controlled hand-off to teach the dog to commit through transitions. This is the wedge clubs buy.
Linen vs Canvas vs Jute
Linen is the middle of the three K9 Academy bite tool fabrics. Smoother than jute (less aggressive on teeth, better for developing grip without splinters), more challenging to bite than canvas (will not reward a soft commitment bite). Use linen for the dog past the developmental stage but still building toward full hard bites.
