Description
EZ-900 Easy Educator E-Collar
The Easy Educator is the simpler sibling of the ET-300. Same Educator stim quality. Same waterproof receiver. Fewer dials, lower price. Built for the dog owner who wants real off-leash training results without the learning curve of a fully featured remote.
What it is
A 1/2 mile range remote training collar. 100 levels of stimulation, plus continuous, momentary and vibration. Waterproof receiver to the IPX7 standard. Lithium battery rechargeable on both transmitter and receiver. Single-dog setup, designed for a clean one-handed control experience.
Who it is for
First-time e-collar buyers who want the trusted Educator brand without the price tag of the ET-300 or ET-400. Family dog owners building reliable recall. Hunters and field trainers running a single dog. Owners working with a professional trainer who has spec'd an Easy Educator for the program.
EZ-900 vs ET-300
Same Educator stim. The ET-300 adds dual-dog support, a slimmer transmitter, a finer level dial and slightly tighter waterproofing. If you have one dog and want simple, the EZ-900 is your collar. If you are training two dogs or want the pro-grade transmitter, step up to the ET-300.

How to Clean
Regular cleaning helps keep your e-collar functioning properly and prevents irritation on your dog’s skin. The ET-300 system is waterproof, but it should still be cleaned carefully to maintain the electronics and contact points.
Step-by-Step Cleaning Process
1. Turn Off the System
Before cleaning, power off both the transmitter and receiver to avoid accidental stimulation.
2. Remove the Collar Strap
Slide the Biothane strap out of the receiver if possible. This allows you to clean both the strap and receiver more thoroughly.
3. Wipe the Receiver and Transmitter
Use a soft damp cloth to wipe dirt, mud, or saliva from the receiver and handheld transmitter. Avoid soaking the units or submerging them in water.
4. Clean the Contact Points
Dirt and oils can build up around the metal contact points.
- Use a soft brush or cloth to remove debris.
- If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water to wipe them clean.
- Ensure the contact points are dry before placing the collar back on your dog.
5. Clean the Collar Strap
The Biothane strap can be cleaned separately with mild soap and warm water. Rinse and allow it to fully dry before reattaching.
6. Inspect the Equipment
While cleaning, check for:
- Loose contact points
- Dirt in the charging port
- Cracks or wear on the strap
- Corrosion on metal parts
7. Dry Completely Before Use
Make sure all components are fully dry before charging or using the collar again.
How to Turn on
The E‑Collar Technologies ET‑300 Mini Educator uses a magnetic on/off system to power the receiver collar and a standard power button for the handheld remote.
Turning On the Collar (Receiver)
- Locate the Red Dot
On the receiver unit, you’ll see a small red dot. This is the magnetic activation point. - Use the Remote to Activate It
On the back of the remote transmitter there is a magnetic on/off switch.
Place the back of the remote against the red dot on the collar. - Watch for the Indicator Light
The receiver will flash green and you’ll hear a short beep indicating the collar has powered on. - Remove the Remote
Once the light flashes, the collar is on and ready to use.
Turning On the Remote (Transmitter)
- Press the Power Button
Press and hold the power button on the side of the remote for a few seconds. - Check the Screen
The LCD screen will light up, showing the stimulation level and battery indicator. - Confirm Connection
Once both the transmitter and receiver are on, the system is ready for training.
