Description
The top of the Educator line. The collar professional K9 trainers, multi-dog handlers and serious hunters reach for when ET-300 range or two-dog control is not enough. One mile range. Runs up to three dogs from one transmitter. Built for the handler working multiple dogs at distance.
A 1 mile range remote training collar. 100 levels of stimulation, plus continuous, momentary, vibration and tone. Waterproof receiver to IPX7. Lithium battery rechargeable on transmitter and receiver. The transmitter pairs with up to three receivers, so one remote runs three dogs in a single training session.
Professional dog trainers running board-and-train programs. K9 unit handlers working multiple dogs in the same scenario. Hunting kennels training pointers, retrievers and hounds together. Sport dog handlers managing a primary dog and a green prospect on the same field. Anyone whose training environment outgrew the ET-300 or ET-400.
Same Educator stim quality across the entire E-Collar Technologies line. What changes is range and dog capacity. The Boss adds the extra range and three-dog support that pros need. Compared to Garmin Pro 550 or SportDog 1825, the Educator gives finer control at lower stim levels in a slimmer transmitter.
ET-300 is 1/2 mile, two-dog. ET-400 is 3/4 mile, multi-dog. ET-800 is 1 mile, three-dog. If you train multiple working dogs at distance, this is your collar. If you run one dog inside 1/2 mile, the ET-300 is enough.
Transmitter, receiver, collar strap, two chargers, instructional materials.

How to Clean
Regular cleaning helps keep your e-collar functioning properly and prevents irritation on your dog’s skin. The ET-800 system is waterproof, but it should still be cleaned carefully to maintain the electronics and contact points.
Step-by-Step Cleaning Process
1. Turn Off the System
Before cleaning, power off both the transmitter and receiver to avoid accidental stimulation.
2. Remove the Collar Strap
Slide the Biothane strap out of the receiver if possible. This allows you to clean both the strap and receiver more thoroughly.
3. Wipe the Receiver and Transmitter
Use a soft damp cloth to wipe dirt, mud, or saliva from the receiver and handheld transmitter. Avoid soaking the units or submerging them in water.
4. Clean the Contact Points
Dirt and oils can build up around the metal contact points.
5. Clean the Collar Strap
The Biothane strap can be cleaned separately with mild soap and warm water. Rinse and allow it to fully dry before reattaching.
6. Inspect the Equipment
While cleaning, check for:
7. Dry Completely Before Use
Make sure all components are fully dry before charging or using the collar again.
How to Turn on
The E‑Collar Technologies ET‑800 The Boss uses a magnetic on/off system to power the receiver collar and a standard power button for the handheld remote.
