• Your dog is 10 lbs or heavier with a 7”+ neck
• Your dog is a normal-to-moderate temperament pet dog — recall, boundaries, door manners, off-leash reliability
• You want a slim remote you’ll actually carry on daily walks
• You may add a second dog later (expandable to 3 on the X-Series platform)
Do not buy the 280X PRO if:
• You have a genuinely hard, high-drive, or handler-hard working dog. This is a low-to-medium output receiver. Under-powering a stubborn dog is worse than not using a collar at all — you’ll nag instead of communicate. Call us and we’ll put you on a 1900X.
• You’re hunting or running big open country past half a mile of range.
